Announcements March 30, 2007

Student ID’s will be taken each week on Wednesdays at lunch time only in the SRO’s office.

Yearbooks
Order your yearbook now! They cost $60.00. See Mr. Allman or any yearbook staff to purchase one.

Job announcement: Looking for someone to do a couple things around the house while we are at work (easy dinners, cleaning the kitchen, folding laundry) and possible some babysitting on the weekends. The schedule would be pretty flexible probably around 4-6 M-TH or F. If you are interested, please see Ms. Whitchurch in the front office.

Dress Code
Remember short shorts are not allowed. Shorts need to be finger tip length. Tank tops are not allowed. Midriff or cleavage are not allowed to be showing. Sagging pants are not allowed. You will be written up on these items. Someone will have to bring you clothes to change into. So save everyone time and frustration and wear the appropriate clothing.

Attention Seniors:
Are you planning to attend a Private Career School or College in Arizona? There is a scholarship opportunity for you. Please see Ms. Rzemienski for details.

Seniors – please complete your mid-year college and career survey as soon as possible. Return to Ms. Rzemienski.

The Scholastic Book Fair will be April 2-5 in the library. The hours are: 8am-4pm Mon, Wed, & Thursday, and 8am-7pm Tuesday. Please tell your parents about it and plan to stop by. There will be an assortment of items for sale and the proceeds will benefit the library. Cash, checks and major credit cards will be accepted. Gift certificates will also be available, and you could buy one for your favorite teacher! Hope to see you there!

Girls Basketball
There will be open gym for any girls interested in basketball on Wednesdays from 6:30-8 PM in the gym. See Coach Miller in 5E for more information.

Krystin Diehl Memorial Scholarship application is available to seniors with at least a 2.5 GPA. You must have attended MHS for at least 2 years and participated in at least 2 sports or activities to apply. Please see Ms. Rzemienski for details.

Matt Huffman Scholarship is available to seniors with at least a 2.5 GPA who have participated in at least one varsity sport this school year. See Ms. Rzemienski for details.

Attention Seniors: If you are interested in purchasing a Senior T-shirt see Mrs. Early in room 13E they will cost $11.00. Also, if you have not signed your name on the signature sheet see Nancy Taylor in the office so your name will be on the shirt. Deadline for signatures is Friday, March 30th.

Students: Please donate any pictures you have of your high school experience to Student Council sponsor Mr. Toohey in room 5W to be used in a collage representing our school at the Showcase of Excellence Night. If you need them returned, please write your name on the back of each.

Graduation program cover contest
Wouldn’t it be great to have your design on the Graduation Program of 2007?
Put your talent to work and design the cover. The theme is Graduation Class of 2007. The design is to be no larger than 9x12 and no smaller than 4 1/2 x 6. Submit sketch in black and white. Submissions are to be sent to the art room, 3w no later than April 13th. The contest is limited to graduating seniors of 2007.

Math AIMS is April 11th. Please let your counselor know RIGHT AWAY if you have passed that Math AIMS and want to retake for a higher score.
