Trivia Contest Winner!
The winner of the January 2007 trivia contest is Maira Hernandez! Congrats Maira! Please stop by the library to claim your prize! Due to the success of the contest, we will offer them monthly! That's right, so don't delay, stop by the library today to find out more about it! Good luck!

Are you interested in fashion? Are you people oriented? Are you interested in a career in medicine? Would you like to start work right out of high school in a well paying career?

CAVIT will be here for a visit on Tuesday, February 6 9:15 – 10:15 to present to the 10th and 11th grade students information on how to register in Cosmetology, Nail Tech, and Medical Assistant programs.
See your high school counselors or Mr. Wallbrecht for more information and an application.

Bye Bye Birdie
Can you sing, dance and/or act. Then go see Mrs. Vargas in Room 14 for an auditions packet, CD & audition time. There will be two audition days January 30th and 31st. Call backs will be February 1st. Our musical will run April 13th, 14th, 19th 20th and 21st. So join the Rising Stars and start acting up.

Attention all Sophomores!! We are currently holding a contest to choose a slogan for the Class of 2009. The slogan will be printed on T-Shirts, Hats, Bags, etc., along with your name as the creator of the greatest slogan ever written!

Example: Pure Magic, Not Tricks, We’re the Class of ’96.
The Class with More, The Class of ’04.

But YOU will come up with an even more amazing slogan! Please come to Crosbie’s room, 2E, with your slogans. The contest will run through February. Winner will be announced and recognized at the first following pep assembly in March.

Student
Students are not allowed to order pizza and have it delivered to school. Students are no allowed to use their cell during school hours. That means they can not call and order pizza on them.

Do you enjoy theater & acting?
Then help participate in the Murder Mystery Dinner Theater. Tech positions are open along with a few non-speaking roles. Please see renowned director Tony Pham or Mrs. Vargas in room 14W if you interest.


Softball
All girls interested in playing SOFTBALL: There will be a MANDATORY meeting at 3:45pm on Thursday, February 1st at the softball field (next to the front office). If you CANNOT attend this meeting, but plan on trying out for softball, you MUST see Coach Misner prior to softball tryouts. Tryouts begin Monday, February 5th, at 3:45pm.


High school students are not allowed to ride the late bus home. The only exceptions are the students in the afterschool program.

The Class of 2008 has started their Domino’s Pizza Fundraiser for Prom. The pizza cards contain 16 stickers for free pizza’s and cost $10.00. To purchase a card see Miss Modlin in Rm. 2W or a Junior class officer.

Attention juniors with at least a 2.75 gpa and community service experience. There is a scholarship for you to apply for. See Ms. Rzemienski for details.

The time is coming near, so show your support by voting for specific PROM gifts, accessories, decorations and etc. I know you all want to make this a special PROM event for everyone, so please attend this meeting.

There is a freshman class meeting Thursday, Jan. 25th at 8:00 in room 7W.

The last day for schedule changes is January 22nd. Remember, schedules are not changed so you can switch periods or teachers. You must have a valid reason to make a schedule change and must have parent and teacher permission

New Year's Dance will be this Saturday, January 20th in the Multipurpose Room at 7pm. Dress is casual (jeans and tshirt are fine). Clothes must be school appropriate. Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the door. Buy your tickets this week during lunch. Hope to see everyone there.

Softball
All girls interested in playing softball this year, there will be softball practice Monday through Friday beginning next week after school. I suggest you be there!! If you have any questions, see Coach Misner.

Balfour
Balfour will be on campus during lunch time Thursday, January 18th. This will be the last time they are on campus taking orders. If you need to order graduations supplies, class ring, or letter jackets you will need to meet with Balfour.
