Student ID’s
Remember that you will need an ID to attend any dance that includes the Prom. So make sure you get one if you are a new student. If you need to replace your ID it will cost you $5.00.
Student ID’s will be taken each week on Wednesdays at lunch time only in the SRO’s office.

Maricopa Rotary Scholarship applications are now available. This scholarship is open to all seniors and there will be multiple recipients!! Visit Ms. Rzemienski for an application today! They are due by March 2nd.

Yearbooks
Order your yearbook now! They cost $60.00. See Mr. Allman or any yearbook staff to purchase one.

Attention all teachers and students:
The AIA is seeking nominations for the 2007 Everyday Heroes award. You can nominate a student, teacher, coach, official, administrator, or even yourself. Recipients will receive cash prizes and be recognized at the Everyday Heroes award show on May 19th. Visit the Everyday Heroes section of www.aiaonline.org for details.

Pay to Play
If you are playing in a sport you need to pay your Pay to Play before the 1st game or you will not be playing.

Sophomores and Juniors interested in Cosmetology, Nail Tech or Medical Assisting need to have signed applications in to Ms. Rzemienski or Mr. Wallbrecht no later than Friday, February 23.

Freshman Baseball
Any freshman boy interested in playing on a freshman baseball team please Coach Pappas.

Attention all Sophomores!! We are currently holding a contest to choose a slogan for the Class of 2009. The slogan will be printed on T-Shirts, Hats, Bags, etc., along with your name as the creator of the greatest slogan ever written!

Example: Pure Magic, Not Tricks, We’re the Class of ’96.
The Class with More, The Class of ’04.

But YOU will come up with an even more amazing slogan! Please come to Crosbie’s room, 2E, with your slogans. The contest will run through February. Winner will be announced and recognized at the first following pep assembly in March.

Are you a senior interested in a medical field (nursing, physical therapy, medical doctor, etc)? There is a great scholarship opportunity for you! Visit Ms. Rzemienski for more information.

The musical need tech crews to help. Paint, Makeup, costume, set! See Ms. Vargas in 14W.

AIMS testing is right around the corner. AIMS Writing is February 27th and AIMS Reading is February 28th. Please let your counselor know ASAP if you already have a score of "meets" on a test and want to retake it.

Did you not pass a section or more of AIMS? Free AIMS tutoring is now available. Please check with your counselor for more information. Tutoring is mandatory if you want to augment your AIMS scores.

Hey trivia buffs, are you ready for some challenging questions, cool sources, and a chance to win a prize?! If so, stop by the library today to find out more about it! The February trivia contest has begun!

Dress Code
Remember short shorts are not allowed. Shorts need to be finger tip length. Tank tops are not allowed. Midriff or cleavage are not allowed to be showing. Sagging pants are not allowed. You will be written up on these items. Someone will have to bring you clothes to change into. So save everyone time and frustration and wear the appropriate clothing.

But YOU will come up with an even more amazing slogan! Please come to Crosbie’s room, 2E, with your slogans. The contest will run through February. Winner will be announced and recognized at the first following pep assembly in March.

Student
Students are not allowed to order pizza and have it delivered to school. Students are no allowed to use their cell during school hours. That means they can not call and order pizza on them.

Do you enjoy theater & acting?
Then help participate in the Murder Mystery Dinner Theater. Tech positions are open along with a few non-speaking roles. Please see renowned director Tony Pham or Mrs. Vargas in room 14W if you interest.

High school students are not allowed to ride the late bus home. The only exceptions are the students in the afterschool program.

Prom meeting for all Juniors:
Prom meeting on Thursday, February 8th at 8:30am in Rm. 2W. We are finalizing Prom gifts and decorations. Be here to vote for your favorite theme.
